James Orengo welcomes Ndindi Nyoro to join Linda Mwananchi shortly after ditching UDA party

Siaya County Governor James Orengo expressed his enthusiasm for Ndindi Nyoro joining Linda Mwananchi on Monday, August 17, 2026, following his departure from the UDA Party. At a media briefing, Orengo stated that this move would mark the beginning of a new collaboration between the two politicians. "I look forward to working with you as Linda Mwananchi.

We have been working before, but now, as the leader of a political party and I, as the party leader of Linda Mwananchi, our work begins now, and I think we are going to sit together to work together," Orengo said.

Nyoro announced his political shift after months of distancing himself from the Kenya Kwanza administration. His decision has sparked renewed interest in the opposition and the potential reorganization of leaders before the 2027 General Election.
