Bhiwandi-Nizampur Civic Body Sends 16 Students To Delhi on Educational Tour To Explore Parliament & Rashtrapati Bhavan

Bhiwandi: The Bhiwandi Nizampur City Municipal Corporation (BNCMC) recently dispatched a group of 16 secondary school students to New Delhi for an educational tour focused on providing practical insight into India's democratic system. The delegation, comprised of students from Classes 9 and 10, along with two teachers and one administrative officer, departed on August 17.

The bus was flagged off by Mayor Narayan Ratan Chaudhary, accompanied by Municipal Commissioner Anmol Sagar, Bhiwandi East MLA Rais Shaikh, and Deputy Mayor and Standing Committee Chairperson, among other senior officials and public representatives.

The tour was announced during the municipal corporation's school textbook distribution program held on June 25, 2026. Mayor Chaudhary, Municipal Commissioner Sagar, and other dignitaries had assured students that a study tour would be organized to enrich their educational experience. The BNCMC currently operates 11 secondary schools, including four Marathi-medium, four Urdu-medium, two Telugu-medium, and one Hindi-medium school.

The primary objective of the tour is to familiarize students with the functioning of Parliament, the highest legislative institution in India, and the country's constitutional and administrative structure. The itinerary includes a visit to Rashtrapati Bhavan, the official home of the President of India, to help students gain a deeper understanding of the nation's governance system.

The civic administration aims to combine classroom education with experiential learning, providing municipal school students with broader perspectives and encouraging active participation in India's educational and democratic processes.
