Awarapan 2 Box Office Collection Day 3 Updates: Emraan Hashmi film crosses Rs 110 cr mark

Emraan Hashmi's romantic action film Awarapan 2 crossed the Rs 110 crore mark at the box office on the third day of its release. The movie, which opened on August 14th, faced competition from Batwara 1947 starring Sunny Deol. After earning Rs 33.75 crore on Saturday, the film gathered Rs 26 crore on Day 3, bringing its total net collection to Rs 81.75 crore and gross collection to Rs 98.10 crore in India.

Globally, Awarapan 2 has amassed Rs 110.10 crore. On Sunday, the movie had an overall occupancy of 52.83% across 9,403 shows. Viewership was highest in the afternoon (60.38%) and evening (68.62%), with lower ratings for morning (25.69%) and night (56.62%) shows. In Delhi-NCR, the film enjoyed a 55.8% occupancy in 947 shows, while Mumbai recorded 42.8% occupancy among 751 shows.

Awarapan 2 outperformed its predecessor, Awarapan, which was released in 2007 and became a cult classic despite its poor box office performance. The sequel has also outpaced Batwara 1947, which has collected Rs 37.11 crore worldwide so far. Critics have offered mixed reviews for Awarapan 2, praising Emraan Hashmi's performance but criticizing the film's repetitive third act.

The movie features Disha Patani, Puran Gabbi, Aniruddh Rawal, Shabana Azmi, Suvinder Vicky, Vijayant Kohli, and Atul Kumar in supporting roles. Awarapan 2 was directed by Nitin Kakkar and produced by Vishesh Bhatt and Mukesh Bhatt under Vishesh Films banner.
