Attempt to murder charges on minors who attacked Pune observation home staffer
Pune police have arrested three juvenile delinquents for allegedly assaulting a staffer at a Yerawada observation home on Sunday. "Initial investigation indicates the accused were furious because the complainant was enforcing strict discipline," stated Senior Police Inspector Umesh Gite. The minors, residing at the facility due to prior criminal activities, allegedly struck the 50-year-old staffer with a metal utensil while he was serving meals around 10:30 am.
The staffer, who suffered injuries, was hospitalized for treatment. The minor attackers are also accused of verbally abusing and threatening the victim. Assistant Police Inspector Sharad Dethe is leading the investigation.
