Ally Sentnor scores in the 85th minute as Angel City draws 1-1 with the Spirit

In a tightly contested match on Sunday night, Ally Sentnor secured a 1-1 draw between Angel City and the Washington Spirit. The only other NWSL game on the day saw the Houston Dash outshine the North Carolina Courage with a 3-2 victory. Trinity Rodman marked her impact in the match by scoring her 10th goal of the season for the Spirit, leading 1-0 in the 65th minute.

Angel City's Tara Rudd set up Rodman's goal with a precise delivery to her teammate. Sentnor, who scored her first goal for Angel City in the 85th minute, leveled the scores. However, her goal was initially disallowed following a VAR review that revealed a handball by Angel City's Prisca Chilufya. Larisey then sealed the win for the Dash with a second goal in stoppage time, and Clarissa Larisey also scored a goal for Houston in the 93rd minute, marking Houston's fifth stoppage-time goal of the season.

The Houston Dash's Larisey had tied the match in the 80th minute, coming on as a substitute. Ally Schlegel put the Houston Dash ahead in the 37th minute, while Kate Faasse equalized for the North Carolina Courage in the 42nd minute. North Carolina regained the lead in the 51st minute when Schlegel passed the ball to Evelyn Ijeh, who scored her 10th goal of the season.

Ijeh and her teammate Ashley Sanchez, with 11 goals, became the first duo in NWSL history to score at least 10 goals in a season.
