After early success, India made to toil by Sri Lanka for big 1st-innings lead
India had a successful start in their first innings, reaching 462 runs, but faced challenges in the second innings after Sri Lanka's strong performance. Despite early wickets, Sri Lanka managed to reach 484 runs before being dismissed, forcing India to bat again. With scattered thunderstorms predicted and a slower pitch, India would need to perform exceptionally well to take the series lead.
