20 passengers injured in TGSRTC bus-lorry collision in Jagtial district

A head-on collision between a Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) bus and a lorry near Kondagattu in Jagtial district left around 20 passengers injured on Monday evening, with five suffering serious injuries. The packed bus, en route from Karimnagar to Jagtial, was involved in the accident on the Karimnagar-Jagtial main road, causing a significant traffic jam that stretched over a kilometer.

The bus driver was trapped in the cabin following the collision. Emergency services rushed the injured driver and nearly 20 passengers to the Government General Hospital in Jagtial, where five of the injured reportedly sustained multiple fractures. Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay expressed shock over the incident, urging officials to ensure proper medical treatment for the injured and take steps to prevent such accidents from recurring in the future.
