Zelenskyy: Russia Has Launched More Than 1,550 Attack Drones, 1,560 Guided Bombs and 62 Missiles This Week

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy of Ukraine reported on Tuesday that Russia has launched over 1,550 attack drones, nearly 1,560 guided bombs, and 62 missiles during the previous week. The strikes affected multiple Ukrainian regions, including Kyiv, Kryvyi Rih, and Kremenchuk. In Kyiv and surrounding areas, six individuals sustained injuries.

Fires ignited by the attacks were promptly extinguished, while ongoing emergency repairs were being undertaken. Russian ballistic missiles also targeted Kryvyi Rih and Kremenchuk, resulting in two fatalities in Kryvyi Rih and one death in Sumy. Zelenskyy emphasized that Russian forces, where possible, target civilian infrastructure.

Additionally, a fresh drone assault was initiated, accompanied by continuous air raid warnings across various regions. According to Zelenskyy, 13 Ukrainian territories faced attacks this week.

Grateful for the swift response of Ukraine's emergency services, police, and medical personnel, Zelenskyy lauded their efforts in rescuing civilians and initiating the restoration of damaged infrastructure. He made a strong appeal to Ukraine's international allies, requesting additional air defense systems and interceptor missiles.

Zelenskyy urged Europe not to allow European interceptors to remain idle while North Korean ballistic missiles inflict destruction and loss of life. He firmly stated that protection of lives is of utmost importance and that Russia must be confronted. Zelenskyy highlighted that each new military assistance package directly translates into saved lives and protected infrastructure. He expressed gratitude to all partners supporting Ukraine's air defense.
