Woman held for stealing gold jewellery in Cuddalore

The accused, identified as Shamsad alias Mariam Biwi, 36, hailing from Thiyagadurgam in Kallakurichi district, was allegedly involved in the theft of 21 sovereigns of gold jewelry and ₹10,000 in cash.
According to a complaint received, the New Town police initiated an investigation into the matter. They meticulously reviewed CCTV camera footage from the area and subsequently arrested Mariam Biwi during a routine vehicle check in New Town on Saturday. The recovered jewelry was subsequently handed over to the authorities.
