In a striking display of bravery, a 15-year-old Indonesian boy named Rudiyansah has garnered international attention after donning a Superman costume while battling a wildfire in Palangka Raya, Central Kalimantan province. Rudiyansah, who joined firefighting efforts after school, explained that he chose the superhero outfit to draw more attention to the fire and raise awareness among those far away.

His father, Mulyadi, confirmed that his son has become well-versed in firefighting operations through regular participation. The teenager's decision to fight the flames in his Superman costume has been met with widespread admiration on social media, with many praising his inspiring actions and calling him a far better superhero than President Prabowo Subianto.

Indonesia has faced an unprecedented surge in forest fires, with more than three times as many hotspots reported in the first 13 days of August compared to the same period last year. Authorities have issued warnings to the public to avoid starting fires and remain vigilant, as the fire season typically peaks in September and October.
