We’re Studying Osun Election Results, says APC

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State is currently studying the results of Saturday's governorship election, according to a statement released on Sunday. APC's Director of Media and Information, Kola Olabisi, conveyed this information in Osogbo. The party stated their intention to explore all constitutional avenues to determine their next course of action.

They emphasized that an election cannot be concluded without exploring legal opportunities to correct anomalies, as per the Electoral Act 2026, as amended. The party praised the dedication of its members and supporters, stating they would not hesitate to explore the window provided by the Electoral Act after consulting their legal team.

They described INEC's declaration as a new development in the state's political history but assured that it would not compel them to deviate from their commitment to the rule of law. The party appealed to its members not to despair, promising that "It is not over until it is over." They also urged the Nigeria Police Force to intervene and protect APC members and supporters allegedly being mistreated by other party members.

INEC declared Adeleke the winner with 511,067 votes, followed by Bola Oyebamiji of the APC with 444,815 votes, and thirdly, Najeem Salaam of the ADC with 17,180 votes. Ogunwole, the INEC Returning Officer, also mentioned that 985,079 votes were valid, with 20,721 votes rejected, making the total 1,005,800.
