Udhayanidhi Stalin says Vijay's Tamil Nadu govt ‘insecure, afraid of Gen Z’; recalls cops had ‘no answer’ on his arrest

Udhayanidhi Stalin, the Leader of the Opposition in Tamil Nadu, accused the Vijay-led TVK government of being "insecure" and "fascist" in their actions against political opponents, peaceful protesters, and youth activists. The DMK leader recalled his recent arrest over a double-meaning remark he made about actor Trisha, noting that police had no clear answers for his detention.

Udhayanidhi criticized the government for detaining individuals for their speeches and social media posts, describing their actions as fascist. He also highlighted the government's apparent fear of the Gen-Z youth, who he claimed were speaking up for the party's ideology. The DMK legal wing, in a resolution, condemned the TVK government for its arrests and alleged corruption in the appointment of government pleaders.
