UAE sends another 683 tonnes of aid to Gaza in latest humanitarian mission

The United Arab Emirates has dispatched another aid shipment to the Palestinian territory of Gaza, delivering 683 tonnes of supplies to provide relief to the region's communities. The aid, prepared by the UAE Humanitarian Aid Logistics Centre in Al Arish, Egypt, is part of Operation Gallant Knight 3, a humanitarian mission initiated in response to the conflict in Gaza that began in October 2023. Since the start of this operation, the UAE has been a leading provider of aid and humanitarian assistance.

In the latest effort, the UAE has passed the 1,000-day milestone of continuous support, having sent over Dh14.2 billion ($3.89 billion) in aid since the conflict began. This assistance has contributed to the establishment of a floating hospital in Egypt and two medical centers in Gaza, providing critical medical care to thousands, including those with cancer and war-related injuries. The patients have been transported to the Emirates for treatment.

The State news agency Wam highlighted the UAE's ongoing humanitarian mission, aimed at easing the suffering of the Palestinian people. This reflects the country's steadfast commitment to giving and humanitarian solidarity. Furthermore, the UAE's Step of Hope program, established in June to aid civilians who have lost limbs during the war, has fitted prosthetic limbs for 72 Palestinian amputees since its inception.
