UAE sends another 683 tonnes of aid to Gaza in latest humanitarian mission

The United Arab Emirates has dispatched another 683 tonnes of humanitarian aid to Gaza, as part of its ongoing operations to support Palestinian communities. The shipment, comprising shelter supplies and food, was organized through the UAE Humanitarian Aid Logistics Centre in Al Arish, Egypt. This latest delivery is part of Operation Gallant Knight 3, the Emirates' response to the conflict that began in October 2023.

Since the launch of Operation Gallant Knight 3, the UAE has been actively involved in delivering aid and providing humanitarian assistance. Earlier this month, the UAE celebrated its 1,000th day of continuous support, having delivered over Dh14.2 billion ($3.89 billion) in aid. This funding has contributed to the establishment of a floating hospital in Egypt, two medical centers in Gaza, and has facilitated the transfer of numerous medical patients, including those with cancer and war-related injuries, to the UAE for treatment.

The UAE's commitment to humanitarian aid is evident in its Step of Hope program, initiated in June to assist individuals who have lost limbs during the war. Since the campaign's inception, the UAE has successfully fitted prosthetic limbs for 72 Palestinian amputees. State news agency Wam emphasized that these efforts underscore the UAE's persistent humanitarian mission aimed at alleviating the suffering of the Palestinian people, highlighting the country's dedication to providing support and solidarity in times of need.
