Two of Pardhi gang arrested for 11 house burglaries across Telangana

Two members of the Pardhi gang, Vishal Bhagwat Shinde and Krishna Dandekar Bhosale, were apprehended by Shankarpally police for allegedly committing thefts in the Shankarpally, BDL Bhanur, Gajwel and surrounding areas. According to the police, the gang members, who are accompanied by their families, camp near construction sites before targeting locked and shuttered houses.

The arrested individuals, Vishal Bhagwat Shinde, 19, and Krishna Dandekar Bhosale, 19, were caught while attempting to flee Elvarti village during a vehicle inspection.

The gang has allegedly carried out 11 burglaries over the past six months. The remaining members of the gang are still at large. The accused are believed to travel from Solapur and Jalna in Maharashtra, accompanied by women and children, and set up temporary camps in tents near under-construction buildings. During the day, women and children identify potential targets, while at night, the men break into houses, often using masks and gloves, and iron rods to force open locks.

They steal gold, silver ornaments, cash, and other valuables, often using sickles and other weapons to defend themselves against any resistance. The stolen items are reportedly sold and converted to cash with the help of the female gang members. The police recovered ₹5,000 in cash, half a tola of gold, and an iron rod from the arrested accused.

Special teams have been formed to capture the remaining gang members and recover more stolen property and tools.
