Ronnie Liu dilantik ketua penerangan PBM

Yesterday, former DAP stalwart Ronnie Liu publicly joined Parti Bangsa Malaysia (PBM). The party's President, Larry Sng, announced on Saturday that Liu had been appointed as the party's Communications Chief, following his recent membership. Munan Laja, PBM's Secretary-General, informed the party's highest council that Liu was promoted to the role at an ongoing meeting.

PBM also made several other appointments, including appointing William Low as Deputy Communications Chief, Benny Sieh as Chief Treasurer, and Sieh Ing Qing as Deputy Chief Treasurer. The Presidential Council recently appointed Engga Unchat and Saarah Ali Bashah under the presidential appointment quota. These appointments are expected to strengthen PBM's leadership and diversity, while boosting teamwork spirit and commitment among all parties to elevate the party to a higher level.

PBM believes the strengthened leadership line-up will continue to contribute positively to expanding the party's work and solidifying its struggle and aspirations for the people, according to Munan's statement. Liu, a former Sungai Pelek MP in Selangor, announced his membership in PBM on August 9. He claimed he chose to join PBM after discussing the party's political direction with Sng, while noting that their experiences complement each other, with Sng being more knowledgeable about Borneo and Liu being more familiar with the Peninsula.

Previous political analysts expressed optimism about PBM's plan to expand its influence beyond Sarawak, but acknowledged the limited impact despite Liu leading the effort.
