Rajasthan CM Bhajan Lal called him ‘Jaadugar’, Ashok Gehlot now offers him a magic show

Two weeks ago, Rajasthan's Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma made a personal jab at his former party colleague and Congress leader Ashok Gehlot, calling him "jaadugar" (magician), but warning that Gehlot's path to success within the party was through underhanded tactics. Born into a family of magicians, Gehlot responded to the comment by inviting Sharma to host a magic show at his residence and address the issues faced by magicians.

Joined by leaders from various magician groups, Gehlot addressed a press conference detailing a series of measures to support magicians, including a convention in Chittorgarh, an academy in Jodhpur, and the formation of the Indian Magic Federation. Gehlot offered to resolve the issue of GST for magicians and suggested making magic exempt from the tax.

He also emphasized the need to improve magicians' skills to international standards. Magician Rajendra Ramawat accused Sharma of disdain towards magicians, while others praised Gehlot's commitment to the magician community, noting that his late father, Laxman Singh Gehlot, had envisioned a Magicians Academy which will open in Jodhpur next year.
