Rafizi claims DAP, after 'tasting power', will remain in government until next election

George Town: Rafizi Ramli, founder of the Parti Bersama Malaysia (Bersama), stated that DAP was unlikely to abandon the government despite the party's experience in power. Rafizi pointed out DAP's extensive roles in government, ranging from ministers to village heads, making it unlikely for members to simply leave. He argued that claims DAP could resolve its issues by holding a special congress were unfounded, as the party would stay in the government until the next election.

DAP's special congress had seen 88% of delegates vote to remain in the Unity Government. Rafizi insisted DAP needed to move beyond racial politics and present a vision that transcended communal divides, urging Malaysians of all races to choose leaders based on integrity and competence rather than race.
