Parti besar guna taktik ‘permainan hantu’, kata Nik Nazmi

Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad, a prominent figure in Malaysian politics, recently criticized the main opposition party for relying on "frightening game" tactics to win votes, rather than convincing Malaysians to support them based on principles and values. Speaking in Penang, Nik Nazmi claimed that the opposition party uses scare tactics about potential scenarios if its political rivals come to power, such as portraying PAS as a potential government or Umno retaking control.

He suggested that if Malaysians are divided, the opposition's strategy might succeed. Nik Nazmi emphasized that Bersatu aims to avoid repeating the mistakes of the main opposition parties and is carefully planning its approach. He stated that while the party wants power, they want to achieve it correctly. Bersatu needs time to strengthen its position, and Nik Nazmi estimated it could take five to seven years to build sufficient support to challenge the incumbent government.

Historical data from Penang's previous elections, where the People's Justice Party (PR) took power from the Barisan Nasional in 2008, supports this assertion. Nik Nazmi pointed out that in 2008, voters chose to support DAP and PKR, and they hope Malaysians will again choose Bersatu if they become tired of the current state of affairs in Penang.
