Osun poll: Adeleke’s camp replies Keyamo, says no political deal with Tinubu

The Imole Campaign Council of Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has refuted claims of a political arrangement behind the governor's endorsement of President Bola Tinubu's re-election bid for 2027. The council's spokesperson, Pelumi Olajengbesi, responded to a statement by Minister of Aviation Festus Keyamo, who had congratulated Adeleke and stated, "Agreement is agreement."

Olajengbesi emphasized that Adeleke's support for Tinubu was solely based on the President's performance and economic reforms, not a pre-arranged pact. He criticized those who sought to undermine the Osun voters' decision, asserting that the governor's endorsement was a reflection of genuine voter choice. Adeleke secured the governorship election with 511,067 votes, while his closest rival Bola Oyebamiji of the All Progressives Congress garnered 444,815 votes.

The Independent National Electoral Commission confirmed Adeleke's victory, and earlier, he had publicly endorsed Tinubu's re-election bid, describing the President as a "son of Osun State."
