The singer, who is part of the famous Adeleke clan, announced his support for his uncle on X, his social media platform, following INEC's official declaration of Ademola Adeleke as the winner. Davido's post, featuring a celebratory video, conveyed his excitement as he announced "WE DID IT UNC !!! @aadeleke_01."

The singer's reaction was captured in the video, showing him visibly moved and emotional upon learning of his uncle's victory. In the immediate aftermath, Davido's social media presence was dominated by posts and messages expressing his delight and support for Ademola Adeleke. The election, which was marked by intense competition between Adeleke, the incumbent governor running on the Accord Party ticket, and Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, the candidate from the All Progressives Congress (APC), saw Adeleke secure 511,067 votes compared to Oyebamiji's 444,815 votes.

This victory granted Ademola Adeleke a second term as governor of Osun State, concluding a closely watched electoral contest.
