‘No no-go areas’ across Balochistan, says Home Minister Langove

Quetta, Balochistan: Home Minister Mir Ziaullah Langove has declared that there are no "no-go areas" in the province, despite ongoing terrorist activity along the Quetta-Karachi national highway. During a press conference, Langove attributed the attacks to armed groups staging a phony "independence struggle" and extorting money under the guise of a noble cause. He urged Baloch citizens to cooperate with the state and national institutions in the fight against terrorism.

Langove praised the people of Balochistan for enthusiastically celebrating Independence Day and commended the security forces for maintaining order across the province. He highlighted the provision of 30 to 35 ambulances in Kalat and Khaliqabad, areas where residents previously struggled to transport patients due to a lack of medical transportation. However, he alleged that terrorists had stolen these ambulances, using violence as a cover for extortion and intimidation.

According to Langove, the terrorists are not fighting for independence or the rights of the people but are instead depriving local communities of basic necessities and attempting to impose their agenda on young people and women. He accused the groups of being funded by external forces, including India and Afghanistan, and controlled by leaders answerable to those powers.

The minister also disclosed that his convoy was attacked while returning from Kalat after attending Independence Day events. Terrorists attempted to target his vehicle, and gunfire erupted, injuring six security personnel who were subsequently treated at Shaheed Nawab Ghous Bakhsh Raisani Hospital and later transferred to the Trauma Centre in Quetta.
