Nigeria's Junior YellowGreens have secured a promotion back to the ICC U19 Div. One after an impressive ICC U19 Men’s Cricket World Cup Africa Qualifier Division 2 campaign. The team defeated Sierra Leone by 165 runs in Kigali, marking their second-place finish and a return to Division One. Nigeria's journey throughout the tournament was characterized by consistency, resilience, and the ability to perform under pressure. The team won four out of their five matches, ending with a convincing victory over Sierra Leone.

The decisive match at Gahanga B Oval showcased Nigeria's strong batting and bowling performances. The team posted a formidable score of 311/9 from 50 overs, which proved too much for Sierra Leone, who were dismissed for 146 in 45.5 overs.
