Major Ukrainian strike on Moscow sets Wildberries hub ablaze, grounds flights

In a major Ukrainian strike on Moscow, the city's Wildberries logistics hub was set ablaze and flights were grounded, according to a report. Russian air defenses in the Moscow region successfully shot down at least 201 Ukrainian drones overnight and into Sunday morning, with the city's mayor confirming the figure. However, Russia's Defense Ministry claimed to have taken down a significantly higher number of 822 Ukrainian drones during the same period, across 16 Russian regions, occupied Crimea, the Sea of Azov, and the Black Sea.

The Wildberries facility in Podolsk, south of Moscow, was hit by a drone attack, resulting in a fire, as reported by the Ukrainian missile and drone production company Fire Point. Moscow's regional governor reported one fatality in Ramensky district, where a drone fell onto a residential property. Meanwhile, Ukrainian forces continued their campaign against Russia, with reports of 106 drones launched into Ukraine in response to the latest barrage, of which three missiles and 85 drones were successfully intercepted.

Russian strikes in Ukraine resulted in at least six injuries, including two in Kyiv and one each in Kryvyi Rih, Sumy, and Zaporizhzhia regions. The Ukrainian President urged for increased foreign aid to bolster Ukraine's air defense capabilities, emphasizing the critical need to protect lives and infrastructure.
