Kwankwaso congratulates Adeleke on Osun re-election

Former Kano State Governor and Vice Presidential candidate for the 2027 election, Rabiu Kwankwaso, extended his congratulations to Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, following his re-election in the recent governorship poll. Kwankwaso, in a statement on his verified X account, praised Adeleke for his victory on the Accord Party platform and commended the people of Osun State for participating in the election and exercising their democratic rights.

INEC declared Adeleke the winner with 511,067 votes, defeating the APC candidate Bola Oyebamiji, who secured 444,815 votes. Adeleke won 19 of the state's 30 local government areas, while the APC candidate took the remaining 11. The third-place finisher was Najeem Salaam of the African Democratic Congress, who garnered 17,180 votes.

Kwankwaso emphasized the significance of active citizen participation in the democratic process and commended INEC for the conduct of the election, urging stakeholders to uphold the principles of credible, peaceful, and transparent elections. He concluded by congratulating Governor Adeleke and the people of Osun State once again on their re-election success.
