Kindiki fires back at Gachagua in blistering response to voice jibes

Nairobi, Kenya – Deputy President Kithure Kindiki has delivered a scathing rebuttal to Rigathi Gachagua, vowing to politically dismantle his former colleague in the lead-up to the 2027 General Election. The escalating conflict between the two emerged after Gachagua repeatedly mocked Kindiki's voice, using it as the cornerstone of his political ridicule.

Kindiki dismisses Gachagua's attacks on his voice as the extent of his political worth, accusing the latter of lacking substance in matters of politics, policy, and leadership. Kindiki criticized Gachagua's political career, describing his time as a District Officer as "disgraceful," as an MP as "unremarkable," and as Deputy President as "wasted."

He questioned Gachagua's commitment to the Mount Kenya region, pointing out his lack of achievements during his tenure. Kindiki has attempted to position himself as a unifying figure for Mount Kenya East and West, but his efforts face opposition from some leaders who favor a different political configuration. The Deputy President also addressed his relationship with Gachagua during their time in government, denying any interference in Gachagua's efforts to tackle the alcohol problem in Mount Kenya.

He accused Gachagua of focusing on personal interests and political mobilization while he prioritized national security.
