JNPA Celebrates the Spirit of Independence with ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ Activities

Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA), India's premier container port, marked the 80th Independence Day with immense patriotic zeal and honor at its facilities. Chief Guest Gaurav Dayal, IAS, presided over the event alongside Deputy Chairperson Ravish Kumar Singh, IRTS, CISF Commandant, Board Members, Department Heads, employees, and CISF officials.

The festivities kicked off with the flag-raising ceremony, followed by the National Anthem and Vande Mataram, igniting a profound sense of national pride and unity among the attendees.

Gaurav Dayal, IAS, Chairperson, JNPA, emphasized during his address, "Independence Day serves as a moment to contemplate the ideals of liberty, accountability, and nation-building. As an entity entrusted with a crucial role in India's maritime and economic progression, JNPA remains committed to upholding its duties with honesty, efficiency, and a dedicated service to the nation.

Commemorating our national emblems serves as a reminder that every contribution, regardless of its magnitude, plays a part in constructing a more robust and self-reliant India."

The Independence Day observances at JNPA transcended the formal program, encompassing a range of activities throughout the week to honor the spirit of independence under the Prime Minister’s ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign. These initiatives united JNPA employees, school children, and the broader port community through patriotic endeavors.

Highlights included a quiz and patriotic poem recitation contest for JNPA personnel, Vande Mataram recitation emphasizing the Har Ghar Tiranga theme, a march by JNPA schoolchildren, the singing of the National Anthem and patriotic songs, and an elocution competition. Through these endeavors, JNPA celebrated Independence Day not merely as a tribute to the nation's struggle for freedom, but also as an affirmation of its commitment to unity, accountability, and active engagement in nation-building.
