Cosmopolitan Education Society Celebrates 80th Independence Day with Patriotic Fervour and Social Initiatives

On 15th August 2026, the Cosmopolitan Education Society marked India's 80th Independence Day with great pride and enthusiasm. The festivities kicked off in the Quadrangle, where the Secondary School Band performed, the National Flag was unfurled, and the National Anthem was sung. The ceremony continued with a Flag Song presentation by the students followed by a speech from Bharat Valia, the President of the Cosmopolitan Education Society.

He encouraged students to embody the virtues of freedom, unity, discipline, and service to the nation, emphasizing the importance of their role in building a prosperous India.

A lively Cultural Programme was held in the Auditorium, where students from Pre-Primary to Degree College displayed their talents. The Pre-Primary students performed a dance, the Primary students presented a patriotic song and a skit, the CBSE students showcased a group dance, the Secondary students delivered an inspiring speech, the Junior College presented a medley of patriotic songs, and the Degree College enacted a dance and act highlighting national themes. The event concluded with the National Song.

The day's highlight was the NSS Unit of Valia College, which staged a powerful Street Play titled Nukkad Natak focusing on the importance of water conservation. Additionally, the students participated in a Tree Plantation Drive, planting an "Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam" tree, and an awareness campaign on Rainwater Harvesting as part of the Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign. The event saw enthusiastic support from students, teachers, parents, and management, making it a fitting tribute to 80 years of India's independence.
