Iran executed man covicted of running over police during protest
<p>Iran announced that it has executed Shahram Sadeghi, who was convicted of running over seven police officers during a wave of anti-regime protests. The execution was carried out following a ruling by a court in the city of Karaj.</p><p>The Iranian court convicted Sadeqi on serious charges of "operational activity in favor of the Zionist regime, the United States, and hostile groups."</p>
