‘Insensitive’: Javed Akhtar slams Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari over remarks on Hindus

Legendary Indian screenwriter-lyricist Javed Akhtar has criticized Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari for his insensitive remarks on the Hindu minority in the country. Zardari made the comments during an event to mark Pakistan's Independence Day, stating that Muslims in Pakistan are tolerant of the Hindu population, which he says prefers to live in Pakistan rather than India.

Akhtar slammed Zardari, alleging that he has always been insensitive to all under the sun, given that they only tolerate less than 10% of the population. He also mocked Zardari by referencing his nickname, "Mr Ten Per Cent," which originated from allegations of him charging a 10% commission for obtaining permission to set up government projects during his association with Benazir Bhutto's government.
