I’ll continue serving PKR, says Nurul Izzah

PKR deputy president Nurul Izzah Anwar reiterated her commitment to the party, pledging to continue supporting reforms, upholding dignity, and building a fairer Malaysia. Speaking at the party's congress, Nurul Izzah emphasized the importance of social services in PKR's reform agenda, as suggested by the Youth chief Kamil Munim.

Despite taking a leave of absence, Nurul Izzah stated she will remain committed to the party's goals, moving in the same direction as her fellow party members. Nurul Izzah expressed gratitude to PKR members who stood by her during challenging times, especially when her father, party president Anwar Ibrahim, was jailed. Last year, Nurul Izzah was elected to the position of PKR deputy president at the party polls.

The PKR information chief previously mentioned that Nurul Izzah would only take a temporary leave from her duties after the party's national congress, but the leadership decided to allow her to take a break instead. In her speech, Nurul Izzah defended her father's growing presence on the global stage, criticizing those who were envious of his influence.

She encouraged constructive criticism and urged Malaysians to focus on resolving the country's problems instead of complaining about not being the prime minister.
