House of AIADMK functionary burgled near Arakkonam

Police in Ranipet have arrested burglars who stole valuable items from the residence of a former AIADMK functionary in Kadambanallur village, located near Arakkonam town. The victim, T. Sampath, a 58-year-old man, was returning home late Sunday night when he discovered three unknown individuals fleeing the scene. Sampath raised the alarm, prompting his family and neighbors to rush to the ground floor and discover broken cupboards containing stolen gold jewelry, silver objects, and cash.

The suspects entered the house through a broken rear door. Local authorities arrived with tracking dogs and registered a police complaint, leading to the formation of special teams to apprehend the suspects. Authorities are also reviewing CCTV footage from the area to gather more evidence. The investigation is ongoing.
