Here’s what the weather has in store for Monday

For Monday, August 17, 2026, fine and cool weather is forecast across most of South Africa, with warmer conditions in certain regions like Limpopo, the North West, Western Cape, and KwaZulu-Natal. In the Northern Cape, conditions will range from fine and cool to warm, with partly cloudy skies along the coast and morning fog patches. Light to moderate south-easterly winds are anticipated along the coastline. The Western Cape can expect cloudy conditions with morning fog in the north-west, partly cloudy skies, and warm temperatures, but cool along the south coast. A late evening drizzle may occur in this region, with a "very high" UVB sunburn index.

The Eastern Cape's western half will start the day cloudy with possible fog in the interior, transitioning to fine and cool, but warmer in the north. As the day progresses, the region will become partly cloudy in the afternoon. The eastern half of the Eastern Cape will begin with cloudy conditions and morning fog in the south-west, transitioning to partly cloudy and warm weather overall. Residents are advised to take precautions against prolonged sun exposure, especially in areas with a "very high" UVB sunburn index.
