GRS remains stable despite KDM withdrawal, says PBS leader

PBS vice-president Arthur Sen expressed satisfaction with KDM's decision to withdraw support for the Sabah government, stating that it clarified the party's political stance. The GRS-led administration currently holds the support of 53 out of 79 assemblymen, surpassing the 40-seat threshold needed for a simple majority. Arthur remains uncertain about the official position of the sole KDM assemblyman, Rusdin Riman, but emphasized that GRS remains stable and focused on development regardless of Rusdin's position.

Arthur welcomed KDM's decision, attributing it to political considerations and their exploration of cooperation with other parties. He respected KDM's stance, noting that it prevented them from being politically divided. This withdrawal was seen as a politically motivated decision by Arthur, and he expressed no criticism or objection towards KDM's position.

The GRS secretary-general, Armizan Mohd Ali, later clarified that Rusdin had decided to continue supporting the state government, contradicting KDM's announced withdrawal. Rusdin reportedly attended a government-related event in Kota Kinabalu the following day.
