Eastern Health Cluster launches 'Learn with Health' campaign ahead of school return

The Eastern Health Cluster has started the Learn with Health campaign to boost awareness about student and parent health as the new academic year, 1448, approaches. The campaign aims to raise health consciousness, promote prevention before treatment, and introduce preventive health services from primary healthcare centers to ensure student well-being and a secure school year.

It stresses the importance of school health in enhancing community health and safeguarding future generations. The campaign is aimed at students aged 6 to 18, entering elementary, intermediate, and secondary levels, alongside parents, teachers, school health counselors, and the general public. Its primary goals are to enhance individual and community health awareness, detect diseases early, and ensure students receive essential vaccinations.

The campaign comprises two main tracks: health awareness activities for students and parents to encourage healthy, preventive habits in schools, and preventive services coordinated with primary healthcare centers, including initial health screenings and completing necessary vaccinations for the target group. The campaign's messages are released in two phases.

The initial phase, prior to the school year, concentrates on preparing students both physically and mentally for their return by adjusting internal clocks, encouraging early bedtimes, promoting healthy breakfasts, gradually decreasing screen time, and emphasizing personal hygiene and dental care. The second phase initiates with the start of the school year, emphasizing general health throughout summer classes, encompassing the significance of breakfast, physical activity, hydration, sun and heat protection, and providing guidance to students with chronic illnesses on appropriate preventive measures.

Through the Learn with Health campaign, the Eastern Health Cluster reinforces its dedication to promoting prevention, supporting school health, and empowering students and families to embrace healthy practices, aligning with the Health Transformation Program and Saudi Vision 2030 objectives.
