Colts hold 11th 2026 training camp practice, all the highlights are here

The Indianapolis Colts held their 11th 2026 training camp practice on Sunday, August 16, 2026, at 4 p.m. A total of 90 minutes of practice was conducted, with Colts insiders Nathan Brown and Joel A. Erickson providing highlights.

During one segment, the Colts executed an actual drive, with the No. 1 offense having a disappointing period. Daniel Jones saw a broken up screen by Austin Ajiake, a dropped pass by Laquon Treadwell, a deflection by Laiatu Latu to Mekhi Blackmon for a pick, and a deep ball intercepted by Camryn Bynum.

Riley Leonard had a standout performance in the No. 2 offense. After a bobbled snap, Leonard completed a nice throw to Drew Ogletree for significant yardage, followed by an explosive run from Deion Burks for 20 yards, and a 15-yard touchdown run set up by Coleman Owen.

In 7-on-7 drills with Riley Leonard at quarterback for the third unit, rookie tight end Carson Towt, who is playing organized football for the first time after a successful Division I basketball career, collided with defenders and left the field with a staff member shortly after.

Shane Steichen provided Anthony Richardson with an opportunity in the red zone during an unexpected change in practice. Seth McGowan was stopped for a loss by Cam Taylor-Britt and DeForest Buckner, Richardson was sacked by Laiatu Latu, and a short completion to Coleman Owen concluded the sequence.

K Greg Grupe missed his lone attempt of the preseason, a 61-yard field goal, but he completed six kicks, including 28, 33, 41, 45, and 50 yards.

Anthony Richardson threw behind and under a receiver, resulting in a pick by Jaylon Jones. He also missed Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, likely taking a sack. Bryce Boettcher ended up with the ball on an end-around, which appeared to be fumbled by Deion Burks.

Ashton Dulin faced challenges with contested throws, and Justin Walley continued playing outside with Cam Taylor-Britt in the nickel defense, as Charvarius Ward is sidelined. Defensive tackle Derrick Nnadi and offensive guard Jalen Farmer also returned to practice. Anthony Gould, Charvarius Ward, DJ Giddens, Luke Tenuta, and Nolan Rucci were absent from the practice.
