Despite having one of the most dominant fastballs in baseball over the past two seasons, it was Misiorowski's effective slider that helped him escape a bases-loaded situation, striking out both Ohtani and Freddie Freeman in the Brewers' 4-1 victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Misiorowski's manager, Pat Murphy, noted that Misiorowski has become adept at using his breaking stuff on any given day. In a thrilling game, Misiorowski allowed only one run on five hits in six innings, showcasing his arsenal of pitches to overcome the bottom of the Dodgers' order. The confrontation between Misiorowski and Ohtani was no surprise, as the two had faced off twice before.

Misiorowski's successful outing earned him an ERA of 1.75 with his 13th start of the season, allowing either one or zero runs.
