Breaking: Gangland boss Fadi Haddara shot in Melbourne's inner west

Alleged gangland boss Fadi Haddara remains in critical condition after being shot in Melbourne's inner west overnight. The 48-year-old, who is believed to be the head of his family crime clan, is currently being treated at Royal Melbourne Hospital for life-threatening injuries sustained in a shooting outside his Altona North home.

Police have cordoned off the area and are investigating the incident, which they believe was a targeted attack. There are currently no suspects in custody, and authorities are working with specialist teams to piece together the events of the night. Inspector Adam Tilley stated that the police hope the shooting will not escalate into an ongoing feud between criminal gangs.

Haddara's home has been surrounded by police since the incident occurred, and detectives from Operation Eclipse and the Luna Taskforce are involved in the investigation. Neighbors described hearing two loud bangs, with one resident mentioning that the incident was the first of its kind in the area.
