Borussia Dortmund close in on €30m Giannis Konstantelias purchase

Borussia Dortmund is on the verge of securing the signing of PAOK Saloniki attacker Giannis Konstantelias for around €30 million, according to recent reports. The German club had previously abandoned their pursuit of Cologne's Said El Mala, shifting their focus to Konstantelias. The 23-year-old Greek international, who has a four-year contract offer worth approximately €3.2 million annually, is said to have agreed to join Dortmund following intensive negotiations between the two clubs.

Konstantelias, comfortable playing in central positions, could also operate across several attacking roles. His pace, close control, and one-on-one dribbling abilities align with the priorities of sporting director Nils-Ole Book after Karim Adeyemi's departure to Barcelona. Dortmund's rapid progress in this transfer comes after their unsuccessful attempts to secure El Mala, who remained with Cologne due to disagreements over the transfer fee.
