Barcelona submit third bid to sign Rodri from Manchester City

Barcelona have made their third offer to sign midfielder Rodri from Manchester City, according to Spanish newspaper Marca. The Catalan club's latest bid could reach €70 million plus add-ons. Their first bid of €45 million was rejected by City, while their improved proposal of €60 million also fell on deaf ears. The 30-year-old Rodri, who has been a key player for Manchester City since 2017, has helped them win four Premier League titles and the 2022-23 Champions League.

However, he has expressed a desire to leave the Etihad Stadium and return to Spain. Barcelona has been active in adding new signings to their squad, including Anthony Gordon for €80 million, Karim Adeyemi, and Jesse Bisiwu. They are still looking for a top-class striker following the departures of Robert Lewandowski and Ferran Torres.

The Argentine forward Julian Alvarez remains their primary target, though Atletico Madrid have no intention to sell him, with the 26-year-old under contract until 2030.
