Arsenal want to win everything after Community Shield success — Odegaard

Manchester City's Community Shield defeat to Arsenal 3-0 exposed significant issues for the reigning Premier League champions. Manager Enzo Maresca admitted that the early goal conceded after just 25 seconds proved a decisive blow. Arsenal capitalized with goals from Calafiori, Havertz, and Odegaard to deliver a crushing outcome.

Maresca lamented his team's inability to capitalize on numerous chances they created. He stated, "I think the goal we conceded after 25 seconds unfortunately affected the game at that moment. 'I think after the goal, the reaction was quite good before they scored the second one, we had three or four chances to score and draw the game but unfortunately we conceded the second one and it became more complicated."

Despite his team's level of play being comparable to Arsenal's, Maresca felt the loss of the first goal made the game increasingly difficult. "Disappointed with that because in this kind of game the level is so similar that when you concede a goal, it then becomes difficult but I think the action after the first goal was quite good and we created chances but again, 2-0 was even more complicated."
