Arab Israeli activist Yoseph Haddad enters politics with new party ahead of elections

Arab Israeli activist Yoseph Haddad has entered the political arena by registering a new party ahead of the upcoming elections, according to his office. Haddad, who is a vocal supporter of Israel, has been actively discussing potential alliances with various political figures, including Brig.-Gen. (res.) Ofer Winter, a prominent figure on the Right. Haddad's office confirmed that the activist has been in talks with several political leaders about joining his new party, Together Vouch for Each Other.

Haddad's party aims to bridge the gap between Arab and Israeli society, offering solutions to the challenges faced by the Arab community. His online presence surged following the start of Israel's war, making him a well-known voice on social networks and TV programs. A recent Midgam Institute survey indicated that a party led by Haddad could win four Knesset seats and outperform some existing parties, including the Blue and White led by MK Benny Gantz.

In May, Haddad reportedly considered partnering with Fleur Hassan-Nahoum, the former deputy mayor of Jerusalem, in a political alliance. Hassan-Nahoum currently serves as special envoy for trade innovation at the Foreign Affairs Ministry, having previously served as secretary-general of Kol Israel and deputy mayor of Jerusalem. Their potential partnership aims to leverage Haddad's social media following and translate it into real influence within the Israeli political landscape. General elections are scheduled to take place on October 27.
