Anwar umum tambahan RM1 juta bagi setiap kawasan Parlimen

Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim announced a supplementary budget of RM1 million for each parliamentary region, emphasizing that the assistance provided to the people cannot be influenced by political differences. As the president of the Parti Keikkira Rasulan (PKR), Anwar rejected allegations from the government of deliberately hampering development funding in states governed by opposition parties, risking the well-being of the populace.

"Today, I wish to publicly announce that for each parliamentary region, I am providing an additional RM1 million for the benefit of the people," he stated at the PKR National Congress. Anwar also denied accusations that he was sidelining states under the Perikatan Nasional (PN) coalition, while revealing that some Umno leaders had previously disagreed with his decision to allocate aid to affected states.

"My friends in Kedah, Kelantan, and Terengganu have criticized me, and many friends within Umno have also criticized me," he said. Anwar stated that he has the responsibility to help the poor, irrespective of their political views. "I promised to help them. If their problems have been ongoing for decades and they face floods every year, as Prime Minister, I cannot remain silent when their countries, properties, and villages are destroyed," he added.

"You voted for me, and I will make the right decision. The right thing is to treat everyone fairly, not just favor certain individuals."
