Amirudin to lead PKR election strategy, Tengku Zafrul to coordinate

PKR vice-president Amirudin Shari and Tengku Zafrul Aziz, the prime minister's senior political adviser, will collaborate on the party's election strategy and operations. PKR president Anwar Ibrahim has granted Amirudin Shari the authority to determine the party's election strategy and operations for upcoming elections. Anwar stated that Tengku Zafrul Aziz, a member of PKR's political bureau, will assist the president's office in coordinating the party's election efforts.

The decision was made to ensure the party's strength is mobilized in an organized manner, while providing the new leadership team the freedom to carry out their role in preparing for the elections. Anwar emphasized that the party cannot have alternative systems or multiple chains of command for managing its election machinery. Instead, the party must operate through a single system and clear leadership.

Anwar also addressed the position of his daughter, Nurul Izzah, who has temporarily stepped down from her role as deputy president. "This is her last speech as deputy president for now," he said. "Next year, I don't know." Anwar reassured that Nurul Izzah is safe, emphasizing that her temporary leave means she will be welcomed back. Additionally, PKR vice-president Saifuddin Nasution Ismail will temporarily assume the duties of deputy president to fill the vacancy.
