The ongoing property division dispute between SK Group Chairman Lee Jae-won and Art Center President No So-eng has escalated once again after the chairman filed a petition for reconsideration. Despite the chairman's proposal to pay the 94.4 billion won property division amount in a mix of stock and cash, No So-eng's side refused to accept it.

The chairman's move came after he was unable to secure the full cash payment within the three-week reconsideration window due to the difficulty of amassing the funds. The chairman suggested paying part of the property division amount in stock, but No So-eng's side rejected the proposal. The chairman's petition for reconsideration aims to have the court re-examine the property division ratio.

The high court's decision last October to exclude 300 billion won, deemed illegal funds, from the property division ratio led to the reduction of No So-eng's share from 35% to 33.3%. Legal experts have suggested that the chairman's move to file a petition for reconsideration may raise questions about the high court's decision, potentially allowing for legal challenges.
