Temperatures in Saudi Arabia may reach 50°C as heatwave persists

Saudi Arabia's National Center for Meteorology has issued an alert for extreme heat, predicting maximum temperatures of up to 50°C in certain regions over the next four days. The forecast, shared on the center's X platform, indicates that hot to extremely hot conditions will prevail across multiple parts of the country from Sunday through Wednesday.

In its post, the center highlighted that some areas will continue to see temperature increases during this period. The most severely impacted regions are expected to experience temperatures between 47°C and 50°C, the highest levels likely to be reached during midday hours. In light of these forecasts, the National Center for Meteorology has emphasized the importance of adhering to weather updates and taking preventive measures to mitigate the risks associated with prolonged exposure to extreme heat, particularly during the peak daytime temperatures.
