Sharjah Police step up stadium security ahead of new sports season

Sharjah Police have intensified security measures for stadiums and sports facilities as the new season approaches, urging spectators to follow safety guidelines and collaborate with officers to ensure a smooth match day experience. In an awareness video released by the force, the Special Tasks Department outlined their comprehensive security plans that commence before spectators arrive at the stadiums and continue throughout the event.

The security measures encompass deploying officers at entrances, organizing crowd movement, conducting inspection procedures, and ensuring supporters can enter the venues safely and seamlessly. An officer stated, "Our goal is one and our mission is clear: securing matches, maintaining order and ensuring the safety of spectators," emphasizing their readiness for the new season.

Teams are strategically assigned at stadium gates to monitor entry procedures and respond to any potential threats or suspicious behavior that could compromise public safety. Sharjah Police have also appealed to supporters to adhere to officers' instructions and refrain from carrying any items that could pose a risk inside sports venues.
