Samsung Reportedly Bringing Back Premium Headphones After Over a Decade

Samsung is reportedly preparing to reintroduce premium over-ear wireless headphones under its Galaxy brand, potentially challenging Apple's AirPods Max and Sony's WH-1000XM series for the first time in over a decade. Leaked references from Samsung's Galaxy Wearable app suggest the new headphones may carry the internal name Galaxy H1, and connection-status icons depict an over-ear wireless design.

The headphones would feature a wide headband and large ear cups, though these visuals may only be placeholders. Samsung's Galaxy H1 is expected to launch in early 2027, according to current reporting, though the company has not officially announced the product or confirmed a release schedule. Specific features for the headphones remain largely unknown, but it is anticipated that the headphones will incorporate active noise cancellation, ambient sound, Bluetooth connectivity, AI assistant integration, and automatic switching between Galaxy devices.
