Rescue 1122 Gets 35 Modern Firefighting Vehicles in Sindh

The Sindh government recently presented 35 modern firefighting vehicles to Rescue 1122 in order to bolster fire and emergency response capabilities throughout the province. These vehicles were procured by the Local Government Department and will be handed out incrementally to municipal corporations and union committees in various districts.

Sindh Local Government Minister Nasser Hussain Shah and Chief Minister's Adviser Gianchand Esrani inaugurated the handover ceremony. Shah stated that the new vehicles are a manifestation of the government's commitment to outfitting rescue and firefighting services with advanced machinery and essential resources. He explained that these additions would bolster the province's capacity to handle fire emergencies, particularly in densely populated urban areas, while also reducing response times and safeguarding lives and property.

Shah added that additional firefighting vehicles are anticipated to arrive in the future and will be allocated to districts based on urgency and priority. Union committees will also receive the necessary equipment to enhance local emergency response. He emphasized that the government will continue supplying modern machinery, firefighting equipment, and other vital facilities to augment the operational prowess of Rescue 1122.

Esrani noted that the new vehicles and equipment would render Rescue 1122 more dynamic, efficient, and contemporary across Sindh. He highlighted that the government's top priority is to ensure a rapid response to accidents, fires, and other crises.
