External forces trying to influence youth; only PM Modi can solve their problems: Odisha CM on Independence Day

Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi urged the state's youth to concentrate on their careers rather than succumbing to external pressures, asserting that Prime Minister Narendra Modi alone can address their concerns. During a State-level event celebrating the 80th Independence Day, Majhi unveiled several significant announcements.

These included eliminating the cap of six attempts for the State civil service exam, permitting candidates to take the test until they reach the maximum age limit. Additionally, compassionate recruitment was announced following the demise of government officials, generating an estimated 3 lakh new jobs within two to three years, which could expand to 20 lakh in the subsequent five years.

The Chief Minister also disclosed that external entities have been attempting to mislead the youth due to their reluctance to witness an empowered India. These forces are acutely aware that Prime Minister Modi will not yield to their demands and will not compromise on national interests, thereby targeting the youth. Majhi emphasized that the youth are pivotal in realizing the vision of a developed India, and that only PM Modi can resolve the challenges faced by India's youth.

He highlighted the importance of education, announcing that students in classes 9 and 10 of government schools will receive free textbooks, mirroring the provision for classes 8. The Chief Minister announced the construction of 2,200 Godavarish Mishra Model Primary Schools as the first step, with 26,000 teachers having been recruited in the preceding two years, and plans to appoint an additional 45,000 teachers underway.

For the first time, mid-day meals were introduced for students in classes 9 and 10. In higher education, 18 government colleges and four universities were to be established in the sub-districts. Majhi declared that Odisha's economy could not progress without bolstering the income of its farmers, noting a substantial increase in farmers' earnings through various schemes.

He clarified that Agri-Stack registration is distinct from the P-Pass registration for paddy procurement, emphasizing that farmers need not worry about issues related to paddy sales. Procurement will proceed as per the P-Pass registration system as usual.
